LCPC has been working with several different schools and making sure there is time on our schedule for educators and students to have dedicated play time. At some schools, we train the physical education teachers (if needed) the game of pickleball resulting in pickleball being added to the curriculum. LCPC was able to help Silver Lake get a grant through the USAPA for nets, balls, and paddles! If you know a school who would be interested, please reach out!!
Paul Barbour, one of our original board members, is from South Africa and has taken it upon himself to introduce pickleball to his homeland. After multiple trips carrying nets and paddles, Paul learned that many of the people were playing barefoot. So with the help of donations from many of our members, Paul purchased tennis shoes during his last trip to keep at the courts!
OHS reached out and asked LCPC to be a part of team bonding events. Last year it included soccer and volleyball. Everyone had a blast!!
